Bigallet Viriana

$$ — 40% ABV — Orange

Made up in the French Alps, this ultra-bitter orange aperitif is a secret weapon of today's bartenders. As aromatic as they come, teeming with a complex orange bouquet, Bigallet's Viriana can quickly dry out any spirit and make it ready for the appetizers.

After macerating, Bigallet is redistilled in an alembic, which makes it almost like a non-juniper gin with the tonic already added. Caramel coloring adds a brown tint, but otherwise Bigallet would be clear.

Bigallet is located in Virieu, Rhone-Alpes in southeastern France. Established in 1872 by Felix Bigallet, it is now owned by Giffard.
